ScanSun, in collaboration with Haba-Nordic, has developed an innovative solar-powered compactor designed specifically for light-duty trucks. Despite its compact size, the Solar Press can hold up to 40-50 m³ of uncom-pacted waste, making it an ideal solution for Central and Southern Europe, where all necessary energy can be harnessed directly from the sun. With dimensions optimized for urban environments, the Solar Press is perfect for cities with narrow streets, parks and tight inner yards. Typically equipped with fixed solar panels mounted on the compactor roof, the Solar Press can also be fitted with adjustable panels, maximizing solar efficiency even in Northern regions. This solution combines space efficiency, eco-friendliness, and energy independence, setting a new standard in sustainable waste management.
